Here is a link to some BASICS that you will need to understand when online shopping http://www.wikihow.com/Shop-Online-Safely.  Security in important, you need to ensure that you have a good protection software.  I use and suggest AVAST.  The basic is free and can be downloaded to your computer at the link http://www.avast.com/en-us/index    Warning, if you have another type of protection program, you should delete it FIRST.  Putting 2 similar programs on your computer will cause them to “bump heads” and you will slow your computer down!

#1, ensure that you have a good protection and that you set it to update DAILY.  This is done easily in the settings.  If you decide to use AVAST, I can walk you through step by step.  Just let me know....once you are protected, we will get you shopping online like a pro!

A SECURE shopping/web site will show https://www and UNSECURE web site will only have http://www  (no S after http)
